TKE offers young men the opportunity to develop
as leaders and prepares them to use those leadership
skills throughout their lifetime. Tekes are encouraged to
take and active leadership role in community, campus,
and chapter activities. Studies show that 46% of U.S. senators and 31% of U.S. representatives are fraternity or sorority members.

At Missouri Western, TKE members are actively involved with multiple campus and community organizations, developing themselves as active men of integrity.  The Chapter boasts members of the Student Government Association, the Campus Activities Board, the Homecoming Committee, the Griffon Yell Squad, Griffon football, the Registration/Orientation program, MWSC VIP program, the Griffon Edge program, Dean of Student Affairs internships, the Honors program, Beta Beta Beta professional fraternity, Army R.O.T.C., Inter-Greek Council, MWSC Campus Security.

In addition to local leadership, TKE participates regularly in Regional leadership Conferences are held annually across the Midwest (University of Kansas, St. Louis, Mo., Northwest Missouri State University, Indianapolis, Ind.) to assist the Chapter in all areas of operations, motivation, and leadership. The most exciting TKE event, a biennial meeting called Conclave, is an opportunity for the Fraternity to vote on legislation, elect a new Board of Directors, recognize Tekes who have excelled, and educate our members. Leadership Academy is a summer training program that emphasizes self-development.
